H. 'Tick Tock'

2010 is the third year in a row I have exchanged Hostas with the same lady in Brandon, MB. This is one of the ones I received this year. It had not been on my radar screen, but after I saw pictures of it there was no doubt this was destined for a spot somewhere in our yard, it very much looks like a miniature version of one of my most-favoured Hostas: 'June'.

Here we are, 2 May 2011, and look at how good it looks! I was hoping for an additional offset or two, but no such dice as yet.

By the end of April 2012 it's showing signs of perhaps need an up-pot, which was done not long after. Into a 2-gallon pot it went.

By mid July it is in full bloom and seems to be enjoying its new home. Don't know off hand whether this one's supposed to be fertile, but I didn't see any buds on it in 2012.

By mid-August there are signs of a bit of slug damage, but overall it's doing real nice. I suspect I'll divide it 2013, there should be enough shoots by then.

Well, it never did get divided in 2013, I just let it grow fuller. This is what it looked like late April 2013.
