Autumn 2006

A Hosta variety that only just now starts to show some die-back is 'So Sweet'. Matter of fact, in the third week of September I cut back 4 newly developing flower scapes. Didn't think the plant should be expanding energy on more flowers, it should be directed towards the roots and getting ready for winter.

Yet, there are still signs of young life. Here for example we have a tray with Crocosmia seedlings. And of course none of these made it through the winter.......
