Mona Lisa

A new-to-us variety of Oriental Hybrid, 'Mona Lisa', has the distinction of being the first of them to bloom in 2003. The bud opened up on July 7th.

The other Lily to open up that same day is a white trumpet lily, a variety called 'Lorina'.

In this picture to the right you can readily distinguish between the older and younger blooms. The older ones start to loose some of their colour, they fade.

This particular variety does not have a lot of ruffling to it's petals.
