H. 'Rainforest Sunrise'

Yes, I know they're not much to look at as yet, but there they are: 4 plants from a Costco purchase at the beginning of March. Here they are shown on March 22nd, 2009 and there isn't a hint as yet whether or not they are as labelled. This is a sport of 'Maui Buttercup' and supposedly is somewhat more vigorous than that, which wouldn't bother me at all, seeing as MBC is in the slow-but-steady category for me. With none of the crowns showing more than one shoot you gotta wonder however.

Indeed they were as labeled, thank goodness. Here's a couple of 'em mid June '09.

There is a brief time frame in the fall where a good many Hostas have a wonderful gossamer-like appearance to their leaves. This is one of the divisions in mid-November.
