H. 'Pineapple Upsidedown Cake'

2010 is the third year in a row I have exchanged Hostas with the same lady in Brandon, MB. This is one of the ones I received this year and had been on my 'Most Wanted' list for a while.

It's making quite a nice showing in early May 2011. It was in pretty much full sun for most of the growing season and it became clear quite quickly that when left in full sun it suffers from burn-out, the older leaves got progressively lighter and dryer, and eventually shriveled. It was divided late summer and one of the divisions will spend the 2012 growing season with considerably less direct sun exposure to see how differently it fares compared to the one in full sun.
