H. 'Gypsy Rose'
Another 'Striptease' sport joins the rest of the family, which includes 'Hanky Panky' and
'Risky Business'. You can tell from the fact the leaves have yet to unfurl that it is very much part of the 'Fortunei Hyacinthina' family, it's a late riser. While the rest of the family are up and at it here and have been for
a few weeks now, this one came from Brandon, MB, where it had broken ground only recently.
A couple of days and here we go, the first leaf has unfurled and there's a second one not far behind.
Just for fun, here's a 2009 Striptease family portrait. 'Striptease' is in the #2 pot top right, below it is the newest addition, 'Gypsy Rose', beside that on the
bottom left is 'Hanky Panky' and top left is 'Risky Business'.
Update: this particular 'Gypsy Rose' is history. It showed signs of HVX in a couple of leaves, as is quite common for this variety by the sounds of it. I'll keep my eyes peeled for another one.
