H. 'Country Mouse'
Saturday April 25th 2009 we took part in a workshop on doing hanging baskets with perennials at one of the local nurseries. As a participant you are given
a 15% discount on anything you buy that day. The workshop was conducted in one of their hoop greenhouses where I noticed plenty of Hosta around, and even though
they hadn't been cleared to go out into the nursery -they'd been potted up less than 4 weeks- I was given the blessing to purchase and take home whatever I wanted.
This little cutie proved to be irresistible, as you can see.
BTW, this is NOT part of the 'Mouse Ears' family....it's out of 'Bill Dress's Blue'
By mid June some of the early growth has started to whither away, possibly because of root/crown related issues, but the new growth is quite a bit more vigorous.
